Conception rates after medical versus surgical evacuation of early miscarriage

ObjectiveTo compare short-term fertility rates after medical and surgical management of early miscarriage.DesignObservational cohort study.SettingAcademic tertiary-care center.Patient(s)A total 203 patients were enrolled between June 2017 May 2018, comprising 106 evacuations 97 evacuations.Intervention(s)Either or evacuation the uterine cavity.Main Outcome Measure(s)Conception 6 months miscarriage.Result(s)Conception miscarriage among women who had attempted to become pregnant similar medically surgically evacuated groups (68.0% vs. 65.1%). There no significant differences in background characteristics groups, apart from younger age earlier gestational treated group. was difference proportion using assisted reproductive technologies managed (15.5% 12.6%, respectively). The median time-to-conception 4 ± 2 both groups. Cumulative pregnancy rate 12 loss, live birth rate, repeat also groups.Conclusion(s)Modality does not affect outcomes. To miscarriage.
